Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
