Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
