Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
