Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
