Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
