Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
