Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
