Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except those of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
