Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
