Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
