Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
