AND HAS the story of Abraham's honoured guests ever come within thy ken? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
