Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
