Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
