Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! 31 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. 46
