Hizb 53

Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 To send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. 36 And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea, well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. 46

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
