Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night. How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
