AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
