We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers. 55 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
