Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
