Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
