In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way, God will send their works astray. 1 And those who believe and work righteous works and believe in that which hath been revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He shall expiate their misdeeds from them and shall make good their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers. 3 So, when you clash with the unbelievers, smite their necks until you overpower them, then hold them in bondage. Then either free them graciously or after taking a ransom, until war shall have come to end. If God had pleased He could have punished them (Himself), but He wills to test some of you through some others. He will not allow the deeds of those who are killed in the cause of God to go waste. 4 He will guide them and set their condition right 5 and will admit them to Paradise with which He has acquainted them. 6 O you who believe, if you help (in the cause of) God He will surely come to your aid, and firmly plant your feet. 7 And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. 8 This is because they disliked what Allah has sent down – He has therefore squandered all their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable. 10 that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. 11
