(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
