Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
