Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
