Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
