Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
