Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
