(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
