So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
