Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
