Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
