Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
