Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
