Al-Qamar 2 of 3
(The tribe of) Thamud rejected warnings 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 Why - on him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed? Nay, but he is a boastful liar!" 25 It was said to Saleh, “They will soon realise tomorrow who is the mischievous great liar.” 26 Surely We are going to send the she-camel as a trial for them; therefore watch them and have patience. 27 And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Each one's right to drink being established (by turns). 28 But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her). 29 and how severe was the suffering which I inflicted when My warnings were disregarded! 30 We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence. 31 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 32 The people of Lut belied the warnings. 33 Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night, 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings. 36 and even demanded that he give up his guests [to them]: whereupon We deprived them of their sight [and thus told them, as it were]: "Taste, then, the suffering which I inflict when My warnings are disregarded!" 37 And indeed, the everlasting punishment overcame them early in the morning. 38 "Taste, then, the suffering which I inflict when My warnings are disregarded!" 39 And assuredly We have made the Qur'an easy for admonition; is there then any one who would be admonished. 40

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
