Thamud (people also) belied the warnings. 23 and said, 'What, shall we follow a mortal, one out of ourselves? Then indeed we should be in error and insanity! 24 "Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!" 25 [And God said:] "On the morrow they will come to know who the boastful liar is! 26 We are sending the she-camel to them to test them. So watch them and be patient. 27 And tell them that the water [of the well] is to be divided between them, and that each one should drink in turn." 28 But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her). 29 So how did My punishment turn out, and My warnings? 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 We made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would take heed? 32 The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings. 33 We sent a sandstorm against them which destroyed them all, except the family of Lot, whom We saved at the break of dawn, 34 As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 For he had truly warned them of Our punishing might; but they stubbornly cast doubt on these warnings, 36 They demanded that he turn over his guests to them. We struck their faces, blinded them and said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 37 And at daybreak a determined punishment came upon them. 38 "So taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." 39 We have made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would pay attention? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
