The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 Created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
