The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
