Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 And We have guarded it from every Satan damned. 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 We send the winds fertilizing, and We send down out of heaven water, from which you drink and you are not its treasurers. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 We know those who lived before you and those who will come after you. 24 Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge. 25
