The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
