Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 Full of overhanging branches -- 48 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors would you then deny? 51 Therein are two kinds of every fruit. 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 55 Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. 56 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 57 As if they were rubies and coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 69 In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- 70 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 73 No man or jinn ever touched them before. 74 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
