▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In both of them are two fountains flowing. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. -- 52 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 53 Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In them shall be those who restrained their eyes; before them neither man nor jinni shall have touched them. 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Which of the laudable attributes of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 dark green in color. 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. 78
