The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
