▼ 56 The Inevitable

a large throng from the ancients, 39 and a throng of the later folk. 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor honorable. 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 and they persisted obstinately in awful sin, 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 "Then moreover, verily, you the erring-ones, the deniers (of Resurrection)! 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 and will have to fill your bellies therewith, 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 like a thirsty camel". 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? 57 Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,- 58 Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 And assuredly ye have fully known the first production wherefore heed ye not? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment, 65 That, “We have indeed been penalised!” 66 "Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)" 67 Have you seen the water which you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to descend from the clouds, or do We? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 See ye the Fire which ye kindle? 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world). 73 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
