۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
