۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
