The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 O YOU who have attained to faith! Why do you say one thing and do another? 2 How despicable it is in the sight of Allah that you may preach what you do not practice. 3 Allah loves those who fight in His Way lining up as if they were a stacked building. 4 Moses said to his people, "Why do you create difficulties for me when you know that I am God's Messenger to you?" When they deviated (from the right path), God led their hearts astray. God does not guide the evil-doing people. 5 And when Jesus son of Mary said, 'Children of Israel, I am indeed the Messenger of God to you, confirming the Torah that is before me, and giving good tidings of a Messenger who shall come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.' Then, when he brought them the clear signs, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery.' 6 Who is more unjust than one who creates falsehood against God when he has already been invited to Islam? God does not guide the unjust people. 7 Fain would they extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths; and Allah is going to perfect His light, even though averse may be the infidels. 8 He it is Who has sent forth the Messenger with the Guidance and the True Religion that He may make it prevail over all religion, however those that associate aught with Allah in His Divinity might dislike this. 9
