Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 Who hath created seven heavens in storeys. Thou shalt not behold in the Compassionate's creation any over-sight; then repeat thy look, beholdest thou any crack? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth. 7 as though bursting with rage. Each time a group is cast into it, its keepers will ask them, "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Those who fear their Lord in secret will receive forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
