Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
