Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving, 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 And indeed, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with lights, and have made them the object of futile guesses for the evil ones [from among men]: and for them have We readied suffering through a blazing flame 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 They will hear it hissing when they will be thrown into it, and it is boiling. 7 as though it will burst with rage. Every time a multitude is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: “Did no warner come to you?” 8 They will say, “Yes, why not – indeed a Herald of Warning did come to us – in response we denied and said ‘Allah has not sent down anything – you are not except in a great error’.” 9 They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" 10 So will they confess their guilt. Deprived (of all joys) will be the inmates of Hell. 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Shall not He who hath created know? And He is the Subtile, the Aware. 14
